The Washington International Horse Show, founded in 1958, is a fan favorite, historic equestrian event in North America. WIHS offers top show jumping, hunters, and equitation entertainment each October at The Show Place Arena in Maryland. As a World Cup Qualifier and USEF Heritage Competition, WIHS attracts Olympic-caliber riders, international horses, and passionate fans for a week of elite sport and family-friendly fun. WIHS is known for its special exhibitions like the WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase, and fan favorite events like Barn Night, Military Night, Kids’ Day, and Sip and Shop.
